In order for anyone who committed a crime between the ages of 14-17 to have their request to seal (rts) approved, they must:
1: Be 18 or older
2: Must not have committed a violent, drug, or theft-related crime after the age of 18. List of crimes: https://www.shouselaw.com/ca/defense/laws/crimes-involving-moral-turpitude/
3: Must not have committed a violent or drug-related crime before the age of 14. List of crimes: Murder, arson, robbery (violently taking property from someone's immediate presence), Rape, Pedophilia (violent or threatened sex with someone under the age of 14) (they can not legally consent, usually), kidnapping (not a citizens arrest), attempted murder, assault with any deadly weapons, effectively every use of a gun outside of hunting and range shooting (not sure about being caught with a gun while being under 18 as your only conviction), threatening a witness in any way, making or selling basiaclly every illegal drug, any use or a knife or piece of metal in a crime, assualthing another prisoner while in prison, carjacking (the owner must be in or in vison of the car usually), escape from a prison or police holding cell via force/inflicting harm, voluntary manslaughter (beating someone to death with your fists even when you just wanted to knock them out, not premeditated), using explosives to purpusefully infict harm, and torture. The exact section listing these crimes in case I missed any: https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/codes_displaySection.xhtml?sectionNum=12022.53.&lawCode=PEN
4. The Court believes that you have been rehabilitated (if you have "passed" parole, this probably counts) (also wear something nice and act polite in front of the judge)
